2016 reading goals

Even though it's the last day of January, I still want to share my reading goals for 2016 with you. So here we go!

In 2015 I started university, which really cut into my reading time. I'm hoping that this year I will be able to balance uni-reading with all the other books I would like to read.

So what are my goals for 2016?

  • Reading a variety of books
The books I usually read are from the young adult genre, but I really want to expand and experience a variety of different genres this year. I want to read more fantasy, more classics and also some autobiographies.
  • Reading different formats
I discovered audiobooks a few months ago and really love it! I listened to some classics on a free app called LibriVox. I want to read books through different formats. I want to read books on my ereader, listen to audiobooks and (ofcourse) read the old fashioned way ;)
  • Reading the books I own
So I made a list of the books I have on my shelf waiting to be read.. there are 23 (not counting ebooks). I really want to read most of them this year. I'm not allowed to buy a book unless I've read most of the books on my shelf!
  • Goodreads reading challenge
The last couple of years I've participated in the Goodreads reading challenge. This year I wanted to get a realistic goal and not put to much pressure on myself for reading a certain amount of books. So my goal is to read 15 books this year, which is an achievable amount, I think.

Blog goals

So besides the personal reading goals I also have some goals that are blog related. I kept the goals very basic because I want them to be acchievable.

Post (at least) one review a month
One review is not that hard. I can do that easily.

Post each Sunday
I want to really try to get some structure in my blog. Some months I post lots and others nothing at all. So I want to post at least each Sunday.

Ideas
What would you like to read on this blog? If you have any ideas, let me know! I always love creating new blogposts :)

What are your reading goals for 2016? Do you participate in the Goodreads reading challenge?

  1. Great goals! It's great to have a structure on your blog, posting at least once a week is ideal :)
